It can assist in recovering from problems as minor as restoring a lost printer to as major as not being able to start Windows. Your PCs configuration is saved in two types of image files: Core and Boot. A Core image -- created by you -- saves your Registry, the program initiation files in your Windows folder, all users configuration profiles, and your Start menu. Boot images are automatically generated each time you successfully start your computer. Theyre similar to Core images, but your Start menu isnt saved. CoreSave also creates its own emergency Startup diskette.
