Web Image Guru Plug-in is a Web-image-optimization tool similar to Ulead's better-known
SmartSaver Pro. The efficient yet attractive interface guides you through the process of
selecting images to optimize, optimizing them, and saving them to a number of formats.
You start in the program's standalone-quality Image Explorer, which creates a contact sheet
of all or some of the images in your chosen directory (you can filter .jif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg,
.gif, .pcx, .tga, .bmp, .dib, .rle, and .png). The next dialog enables you to write images back
to either image files (overwrite or rename) or HTML pages. Filter effects are also provided,
including 2D edge effects that let you soften or add texture to image borders. Finally, you can
compress images while viewing the effect on the image in a preview window. If you're a
