 For the implementation of the INSPIRE directive all so far in Germany available geo references with Gauss-Krueger / DHDN coordinates now must be converted to UTM / ETRS89 coordinates for future use. BetaDLL contains precise functions for coordinate transformations and datum shifts using the German NTv2 standard BeTA2007. The Functions of the 32 bit / 64 bit DLL can be easy called from own applications.

 TOPOWIN is a state-wide register of the German topographic cartographies and of localities with geo references in different coordinate systems. It also is a topographic information system. The topographical maps of different standards can be determined by the entering of known parameters or by the direct selection from overview graphics and from sorted lists. It calculates the corner coordinates of the norm sheet lines of the catographies.

 NTv2Tools Geosoftware provides a toolbox for developing and processing of NTv2 files in binary and ASCII formats. With the included tools NTv2 files can be analyzed and graphically or textual displayed, they can be converted to other file formats and areas of them can be extracted to new NTv2 files. By means of NTv2 grid files it is possible to transform points from one coordinate reference system to another with very high accuracy. An NTv2 file contains one or more quasi-rectangular coordinate grids which are defined in the NTv2 headers. The program NTv2Tools provides digital tools for developing and processing NTv2 files in binary and ASCII formats. The program analyzes NTv2 files and outputs detailed information on the screen, in graphics files and in text files. The program allows conversions between the binary and ASCII formatted variants of the NTv2 files. Furthermore, areas can be extracted from NTv2 files and swapped out to new NTv2 files. This resolves the known issues with oversized NTv2 files. In the future, also new NTv2 grids can be added to existing NTv2 files. With the program NTv2Tools in detail the following processings are possible: Analyze NTv2 file; Display NTv2 grids and subgrids; Display NTv2 activity scopes (normal and polygonal); Convert NTv2 ASCII file to NTv2 Binary file; Convert NTv2 Binary file to NTv2 ASCII file; Extract an area from a NTv2 file. NTv2 files that have been previously equipped with Polygonal Validity Scopes to map a polygonal boundary instead of a quasi-rectangular area in the NTv2 grids are supported by the NTv2Tools program. The Polygonal Validity Scopes realized in the NTv2 files is graphically displayed during the analysis. The program has a user-selectable multi language interface and comes with extensive online help. The program can be run on most common networks and it is possible to use Terminal Services on WINDOWS Servers. In case of a network installation the clients are installed automatically by the program.

 Geodata International - World-wide database of countries with georeferenced towns, municipalities, postal codes and administrative units with WGS84 and UTM coordinates and elevations for geocoding, proximity search, navigation, distance calculation. Often is it necessarily, for an address characteristic, e.g. the place name or the postal code, to establish a local relationship - a georeference. The georeference can be used e.g. to show a customer the nearest chain store by doing a proximity search. On the basis of the georeferences business zones, statistics or general maps can be made. Towns, municipalities and postal codes can be assigned to the superordinated administrative units. Distances between places or postal areas can be determined with the coordinates contained in the database tables. For that the georeferences are available in all country database tables as UTM coordinates on the natural and an uniformly meridian strip and as geographical coordinates in degree and deg/min/sec notation. With the elevation data from a Digital Elevation Model the ground level height of each place can be determined. The database tables are present in the file format CSV (Comma Separated Values). The character set used is UTF8. This format is used often and in most cases you can import data directly into your own data system. The freeware program CONVERT, downloadable from the KilletSoft site, converts the available database tables to other data formats and character sets with the necessary sortings and selections. With the program, for example, CSV data can be converted to the SDF format (Simple Document Format) or to the dBase format. For the use of the data on different platforms it is possible to select between the character sets ASCII, ANSI, UTF8 and UniCode. Thus the import of the data in any database management system or file system will be possible.

 The spatial software NTv2Poly replaces the rectangular activity scope contained in NTv2 files with a Polygonal Validity Scope, which is realized with an outline file in classic Shape Format. Instead of a rectangular area only an embedded polygonal area should and must be covered, for example, a state territory within the country borders. The program NTv2Poly realizes Polygonal Validity Scopes in NTv2 files. Using so prepared NTv2 files, coordinates outside the validity scope can be excluded from calculations or they can be acknowledged by a warning. This works with coordinate transformations using the geospatial software TRANSDAT and GeoDLL by KilletSoft and with many GIS programs which support Polygonal Validity Scopes. The Polygonal Validity Scope is realized with a shape file, which contains the outlines of the scope as polygons. The file format Shape is developed by ESRI as a format for geographical objects. For example, in the shape file the border outlines of a country may be stored, which represent the polygonal scope for the NTv2 file used in that country. Using the program NTv2Poly the polygons of the shape file and the quasi rectangular surface of the NTv2 file are superimposed one on the other and processed in an ingenious manner. The program has a user-selectable multi language interface and comes with extensive online help. The program can be run on most common networks and it is possible to use Terminal Services on WINDOWS Servers.

 The database tables contains geodata of the Federal Republic of Germany with geo referenced towns, municipalities, town quarters and other administrative units, postal codes, telephone preselections, nature areas, landscapes, climatic zones and official topographical cartographies. The data contain coordinates for navigation and geo-coding, proximity searches and distance computations and are prepered for the spatial mapping of environmental information. Quite often it is necessary to reference an address field e.g. like town or municipality name, postal code or telephone preselection, to corresponding geographical data and coordinates - a Geo Reference. The geo reference can be used e.g. to direct a customer to the closest store locations of a retail store chain by doing a proximity search. Another possibility it to determine distances between the different objects of the database tables with the included geo references. With the elevation data from a Digital Elevation Model the ground level height of each place can be determined. Often the knowledge is necessary about affiliations and relationships between data derived from different hierarchies. So it can be determined to which federal state, governmental area or governmental county a town, a postal code or a telephone preselection is associated. It is possible to assign a variety of natural and scenic information to each town or municipality. The snow and wind load zones and solar irradiation are available as local climatic data. In conjunction with the ground level heights they can be used to calculate static loads for the planning of building constuctions and to calculate solar installations.  NTv2Creator geosoftware provides a powerful tool for modelling accurate NTv2 files from identical points in two different Reference Systems. The software analyses two files with identical points and suggests the boundaries and mesh sizes which can then be changed manually. Finally, a highly accurate NTv2 file is generated using small-scale three-dimensional 7-parameter Helmert transform around each grid point and subsequent Natural Neighbour Interpolation for residual gap distribution. NTv2Creator provides three different mathematical models for the modelling of NTv2 files. At the beginning of the processing, the coordinates of the identical points are tested for outliers and deviations using statistical methods. Then all grid points are calculated. To calculate a grid point, the program NTv2Creator collects all identical points from the point files of the source reference system and the target reference system, which lie in a certain radius around the grid point. With these points a small spatial three-dimensional 7 parameter Helmert transformation is performed. During the subsequent coordinate transformation of the grid point of the source reference system, the Helmert parameters determine the coordinate of the same grid point in the target reference system. To increase the accuracy the Natural Neighbour interpolation is used for the distribution of the residual gaps. The difference between the coordinates of the grid point in both reference systems is entered as a shift value in the NTv2 file. The calculated shift values include the compensation of regional and local tensions and they consider the different dimensions and bearings of the ellipsoids used in both reference systems.
